Initial Eval Before Enrolling in Training Classes
Every player must start with a group or individual evaluation, an Elite Pitchers Boot Camp, or a Precision Strike 1 on 1 Evaluation and Training Session before he/she can begin training at The Ranch. This is vital to optimal development and injury risk reduction.
Cost & Time
Our group evaluations take place every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM. The cost is $90, and the assessment is an entry level screen that lasts up to 2 hours, depending on how many players sign up.
What To Expect During The Eval
During the group session, we’ll perform a general physical assessment on all attendees to identify any physical constraints that might be holding them back or putting them at risk for injury. We’ll also do a high-speed video analysis of your throwing motion to evaluate about 15 different markers we consider critical to increasing velocity, improving pitching mechanics and injury risk reduction.
No actual training takes place on Group Evaluation night, but we will design your individualized training plan based on our evaluation findings. You’ll need to come back for on-going training classes on a different date to receive specific instructions and training to ensure that you increase velocity and improve pitching mechanics to the best of your ability. After the evaluation, we’ll set you up with a username and password so you can begin to register for our on-going training and pitching lessons.
Group Assessment VS Precision Strike 1 on 1
The group assessment is not as detailed as our Precision Strike 1 on 1 program and is designed for players who have had no history of pain or injury.
IF YOU ARE AN ELITE LEVEL THROWER, IF YOU’RE COMING OFF AN INJURY, OR IF YOU’RE EXPERIENCING PAIN, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU SIGN UP FOR A PRECISION STRIKE 1-ON-1 EVALUATION AND PITCHING LESSON, WHICH INVOLVES A MORE DETAILED EVALUATION PROCESS AND INCLUDES ALL THE NECESSARY TRAINING TO INCREASE VELOCITY AND IMPROVE PITCHING MECHANICS. THIS WILL ENSURE WE CAN GIVE YOU THE INDIVIDUAL ATTENTION YOU NEED.
Again, the evaluation is critical to our process, so we must conduct it before you begin taking classes. We reassess every 60 days to make adjustments to the plan and review your progress, increase in velocity and improvement in pitching mechanics.
